Hei, jeg er Montessori utdannet (AMI, i Phoenix, AZ), er nybakt mamma, bor i Norge med mannen min som er odelsgutt og skal overta gården, og er Amerikansk statsborger. I am educated to be a Montessori directress, am a new mother, live in Norway with my husband who has the right to inherit his family farm, and am an American citizen. I, like my grandpa, was born with two bent pinkies, which my daughter has inherited as well. I'm 31, got married in 1999 and gave birth on April 11, 2005 in Norway. I live in an area where there is not formal Montessori, so that is very sad for me since I loved working for 4 years with Montessori before I moved to the farm, but I know Montessori will be a huge part of life for me regardless of the circumstances of where I live. Also, I used to do a lot of whitewater padling in the States, but haven't done much of that yet in Norway. I grew up mostly in Osseo, Wisconsin, then moved to Marathon City for high school. I got my bachelor's degree in Family Studies at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. and went to graduate school through Loyola College in Maryland for a Master's in Education, with off-campus studies at the Montessori Education Center of Arizona, Phoenix where I earned my AMI certification as a Montessori Directress for ages 2.5-6.5. During graduate studies, my husband, whom is Norwegian, got his Master's in Philosophy at Colorado State U. and we lived in Fort Collins, Colorado for two years. We've been living in Norway for 6 years now. My husband has studied philosophical practice after grad school, now being a qualified Philosophical Practitioner, and has a little tourism operation here on the farm called Hamre Lyceum for philosophizing with folks. In addition to my daughter who turns 2 in April, I am pregnant with what seems shall be a boy, due April 16, 2007.
